A meeting day with Martin O’Connor and Mary Turner Thomson from White Water Publishing and Paul Hudson from Festival Theatre to discuss the forthcoming book. It went well, and everyone is happy with what needs to be done – which is a lot! Then we chatted with Marie, Doreen and Katie and talked through the ideas and details. Everyone is feeling good about it. We’ll need to arrange to get Marie, June and Doreen’s memorabilia to be scanned and photographed on one of our Monday’s and Martin is going to carry on with various interviews and keep us up to date with what he’s writing as he goes along. Very exciting! June’s still in the hospital, but will hopefully be back with us soon. Gavin her son has been in touch to say she’s doing well and excited that one of the other women in the ward was also on the variety circuit with a famous whistling act! She’s in good company then! – Janice Parker
