“June’s 90th Birthday and what a day! A grand celebration organized by her family in the Empire Rooms at Festival Theatre. Honoured to celebrate with this wonderful woman and great to meet even more members of her family and the Variety Theatre community including Bob Bain from the Scottish Music Hall and Variety Theatre Society. June was in her element, though a bit put out that the well-kept secret of her age was now public knowledge! Even our Doreen, June’s close friend and dancing colleague all these years, had no idea what age June actually was. In June’s words “I’ve always been very good at subtraction”!
