“Alas, we have had word that Marie has broken her hip. She is fine, but of course, needs to mend and she won’t be able to perform in the show. What a blow – we miss her and know that she will miss us. I set to work to ensure that Marie can still have a presence and input to the show even though she will not be there in person. I’ve always had this back-up plan, as we are already aware that anything can happen at any time. ‘In the bank’ is a sound loop of Marie talking about the final number in her Raymond Sisters act “MacPherson is Rehearsin’ to Swing”. We have her choreography to “Hello Dolly” which Katie and Daisy can rework into a duet, we have a portrait film of Marie in conversation that can be screened and we have photographs of Marie working latterly and from her extensive memorabilia collection. With a bit of restructuring, we’ll be fine. Marie will have a presence. Get well soon Marie.” – Janice Parker
