“Last day of the season before a wee break for Easter, so invited a few of our colleagues and supporters along to celebrate with prosecco and chocolate eggs. We had also arranged to skype a colleague of Doreen’s, Conni Atwell, who now lives on Vancouver Island. This meant staying later than usual because of the time difference. It was thrilling and moving to cover so much distance and circumstance and to talk and dance together in real time. Conni’s mother was sometimes orchestra leader at the Palladium in Edinburgh, Helen Fowler the usual Orchestra Leader, and both of their husbands were first violins. There is so much more chat to be had, knowledge to be shared and dancing to be done. We will do this again! What a great way to end the season” – Janice Parker
