We are excited that the BBC want to do a feature on us, this is thanks (I’m certain) to our wonderful publicist – the great Liz Smith. On the day of filming, we don our costumes, perform excerpts from the show, and June and Doreen are interviewed by arts journalist Pauline McLean. She is fabulous and gets precisely what we are doing, both Doreen and June are in their element and give an embracing interview. We are on Reporting Scotland that evening and are thrilled! We were also interviewed last week by the Sunday Post. Another thrill, though, the shortage of memorabilia photos are a problem as they would love a picture of June being fired out of the canon, but alas none exists, certainly not in June’s collection. So, a smaller article than we would all have liked was printed in the paper, but none the less this was a brilliant step! We are happy to have this coverage and amazed that there is this amount of interest in our work. – Janice Parker
