“A workshop for folks from Glencairn Care Home. Everyone in wonderful spirits and good fettle. Oh, how we laughed! We managed a synchronized rhythm of all seven of us! It felt invigorating! Ah, the liberation of tap and how possible it is to work with complete beginners, of any age, and create something of quality and joy. Rhonda from Glencairn, on watching Marie and Doreen dance “when you see their feet working like that the age disappears”. Ah, the importance of these moments and situations when we see age differently and beyond our usual stereotypes and expectations. Before the workshop, we had our usual 1 on 1 staff tap lesson for Euan and Laura. They have both progressed. Filmed them from behind so they can practice at home and joked about doing a recital performance with them. (I was serious though! There is great potential).” – Janice Parker
