“A busy hectic day. Gavin, June’s son, brought pies, of course, that he cut with a Stanley knife much to everyone’s enjoyment. Took a fabulous photo of Marie with a pie in one hand and a sandwich in the other. It was great to have June with us after her spell in hospital, witty as ever and with her “doctors orders” that she dances. Tapping straight away with Euan and Laura and the ‘Tea for Two’ routine is looking good! We can now all shuffle skip (turning), perform all the breaks, freestyle, do Marie’s step, the time step, and American rolls. Ready for our show next month! Fi Johnstone our production manager was with us to continue our planning and Marie (or was it Doreen?), in talking about the event said that it “was our encore”. What a great frame to hold it in. Catherine Bromley from the theatre and film-maker Jude Lightbody from Hot Button Films arrived and joined us for some movement – chair dance, very very gentle. Then we talked through the script, did a location recce around the theatre, scanned the relevant images and made a plan for the schedule of next week’s filming. Next week!” – Janice Parker
